Drama Name:  별똥별 [Sh**ting Stars] - 16 EPISODES

Cast: Lee Sung Kyung as Oh Han Byul, Kim Young Dae as Gong Tae Sung

Language: Korean

As the name, this story is not about shooting stars (meteors). The story revolves around a handsome actor (a star of the entertainment industry) and his college mate (PR head) who is the female head of this drama. In this rom-com, the PR head cleans up the mess created by its stars/actors. Although the leads have a love-hate relationship, the drama takes a new turn with an even more handsome legal advisor of the entertainment company.

Characters:

Female protagonist(s): Oh Han Byul, a beautiful independent woman, is the PR head of Star Force Entertainment. The leads are like sworn enemies but eventually develop feelings for each other. The cast, to be honest, is amazing. She is perfect to play the role of someone who shows emotions such as - being happy with the job, tired, disgusted, in love, independent, and so on. Even her attire was apt throughout the drama. Jo Ki Peum (played by Park So Jin) is her best friend, and also a reporter. Peum has taken numerous interviews, enough to know what the entertainment industry is from its heart.

Male protagonist: The tall, handsome actor Gong Tae Sung is a character with fame, dignity, childhood trauma, mommy issues, empathy for the underprivileged, and so on. He is supported by his manager and the director of the company who have been with him since the beginning of his career. Young Dae has portrayed this character perfectly. His expression of fun, love, anger, sarcasm, and jealousy is all a 9/10 ('cause no one's perfect you know).

Verdict:

Apart from the leads, the support couples are also portrayed with care and thought. Kang Yoo Sung and Park Ho Yeong are two managers in the company who towards the end become a couple. But this comes as a surprise to the audience. Park Ho Yeong's character is very cute and sweet, I personally loved all her scenes.

The drama talks about various morals and aspects of life-friendship in particular; growing above hatred; not holding grudges; respecting boundaries, and so on. It has a unique script with some twists and turns and the perfect cast.

It is not a very long boring drama. 16 episodes, each perfectly shot without many unnecessary scenes.

The series has a soothing OST along with a great direction and screenplay. Overall I would rate it a 9.3/10.
